A unified theory of slender wings in asymmetric motion, with an application to a swimming sea snake

Abstract The slender body theory is extended to accommodate cases where a wing, in generally non-uniform motion, sideslips at sufficiently large angle make the flow separate from one of its long edges but not any part other. In those cases, an approximately triangular wake forms side rendering pressure loads on wing only asymmetrical, also dependent history wing's motion. can have wide range possible applications, estimating lift and drag pronouncedly asymmetric flight, through analysing aero-elastic stability that thrust, power sea snake swims axis. Coherence demonstrated numerous numerical simulations.
